Meet Dr. Bill Draper

General

Capital Animal Hospital is dedicated to providing the highest care for pets and their families. To continue delivering exceptional service, we’re thrilled to announce our newest team member: Dr. Bill Draper, a seasoned veterinary neurologist.

A New Addition to Capital Animal Hospital

Dr. Draper’s journey in veterinary medicine began after he graduated from veterinary school and entered general practice as a primary care veterinarian. After a few years, his passion for neurology led him to complete a three-year residency in neurology and neurosurgery at the University of Florida's teaching hospital. In 2012, he relocated to Columbia, South Carolina, and has been serving the area as a small animal neurologist ever since.

Dr. Draper chose to join Capital Animal Hospital because of its welcoming, family-like atmosphere and shared vision with Dr. Subber, our medical director. Together, they believe in providing exceptional care to pets and their families within the community.

A Game-Changing Expert

Having a neurologist like Dr. Draper on-site is a game-changer for our practice. Now, we can diagnose and treat musculoskeletal and neurological issues without referring pets elsewhere. Neurological conditions can often be complex, sometimes involving multiple problems at once, and having the right expertise in-house means we can deliver comprehensive, coordinated care for every pet.

Dr. Draper is not new to the field. With over a decade of experience managing and treating complex neurological conditions, he brings a wealth of knowledge and a practical approach to case management. His vast experience and long-standing commitment to patient care make him an invaluable addition to our hospital.
